Sunrider Supports Relief Efforts for the Victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria
Global News
In response to the widespread and catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria in the regions in and across the Florida Keys, the Caribbean, and Puerto Rico in fall 2017, Sunrider International quickly organized a fundraising campaign to aid the victims. Matching the funds received from company staff and IBOs in the USA, in just a few short days, Sunrider was able to raise a total of $8,061, which was given to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization.
Direct Relief’s work has earned wide recognition from independent charity evaluators, including a 100% fundraising efficiency rating from Forbes and inclusion in Fast Company’s list of “the world’s most innovative nonprofits.”
Sunrider has a long tradition of responding to disasters by raising money and donating in-kind support. Sunrider-led fundraising campaigns have provided aid for victims of Hurricane Harvey, the Nepal Earthquake, Typhoon Haiyan, Hurricane Sandy, the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, and the Haiti Earthquake.
