Sunrider’s New Sponsorship Is a Game-Changer for Athletes of All Abilities
Sunrider is proud to announce its sponsorship of the City of Torrance’s Adaptive Recreation Pickleball Team, furthering its commitment to transforming lives through physical and mental well-being.
The adaptive pickleball program will now help expand across the South Bay, enabling athletes with disabilities to build confidence, improve their physical health, and enjoy the thrill of competition.
Pickleball, a sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, is easy to learn and accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. It offers a low-impact, high-energy sport that improves balance, coordination, and cardiovascular health, while providing a fun and social experience.
Through Sunrider’s contribution, what began as one-day clinics will soon develop into a full six-week training program, featuring qualified coaches, new equipment, and an adaptive pickleball tournament once the new courts open. As part of the program’s expansion, the team will also receive new uniforms featuring the Sunrider logo. Sunrider representatives, along with the athletes, will proudly wear their new uniforms at a City Council meeting in February.
“This partnership is about health, inclusion, and empowerment—values that are at the heart of what we stand for.” said Sunny Beutler, CEO of Sunrider. “We’re thrilled to support these athletes and provide them with the tools they need to succeed. Their growth and achievements will be an inspiration to us all.”
The company also looks forward to attending the Annual Athlete Celebration Dinner in June 2025, where the impact of this sponsorship and the team’s accomplishments will be recognized.
"Sunrider’s support for our Adaptive Recreation pickleball program exemplifies the power of community partnerships,” said Torrance Mayor, George K. Chen. “Their generosity not only expands recreational opportunities but strengthens our commitment to making Torrance a city for all athletes. We deeply appreciate their role in creating meaningful experiences that inspire our residents."
