Sunrider Malaysia was a Sapphire sponsor in the recent Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) event entitled, “MRCA Up Close & Personal with the Media 2017,” which was held September 7 at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Sunrider’s Director of Regional Operations, Ms. Shirley Tay, was the Organizing Chairlady of this significant media event.

The event brought together over 200 guests from top media and publishing houses, as well as sponsors from the crème de la crème of the retail-chain industry. The President of the MRCA, Dato' Garry Chua, and his Council pulled out all the stops in feting their media partners to a scrumptious Afternoon High Tea at the luxurious hotel. Lucky draw prizes were given away to the media guests, much to their delight.

As Organizing Chairlady and Vice President of MRCA, Ms. Shirley Tay said in her speech: “This media event is one of our President’s 6-Point Action Plan, which is to have more engagement and exchange of ideas with the media. This is a golden opportunity for our esteemed guests and invitees to take a break from their busy schedules and foster closer relationships with one another.”

The PR team from Sunrider took advantage of the occasion by networking closely with the important media guests, making good contacts during the three-hour event. It was a relaxing and fun afternoon where the retailers and media came together to share ideas and build rapport.
